Founders
Perspective
Paurav Rastogi and Shamin Kapoor are childhood friends bound by one thing — a deep love for food. They always dreamed of building their own restaurant or food brand. But when they finally decided to take the plunge, reality hit hard: finding the perfect location, negotiating with landlords, navigating compliances and managing huge upfront investments (CAPEX and OPEX) made the journey nearly impossible.
That’s when the idea for Speed Kitchen was born. While working in the UK, Paurav witnessed the rise of the cloud kitchen model and saw how it simplified the process for food entrepreneurs. When the two friends realized how big this gap was in India, they decided to bring the concept home — giving it an Indian touch to suit local needs.
